FATXplorer’s Official Forum
September 4, 2010
by Eaton
A lot of you are probably familiar with the forum “Se7en Sins”. For those that do not know, it is a popular Xbox 360 gaming and modding forum that received its popularity from Halo 2 modding, Modern Warfare 2 lobbies, and other things.
I worked out a deal with the owner and for a small fee, he [...]
Updater and School
August 30, 2010
by Eaton
I have been working on a global updater for FATXplorer and other future apps of mine.
Here is a preview.
It isn’t directly integrated with FATXplorer, it is a separate exe, but is included by default. You still have the option to silently check for updates on FATXplorer’s startup, though.
All that [...]

One more thing to scratch off the todo list. I just finished the bookmarks feature, and I will now explain it.
When a device/backup is loaded, it will check for an existing bookmarks XML file in the directory. If there isn’t one, it will create a blank one. If there is, it will load it.

General Improvements and Bookmarks
August 26, 2010

I have completely rewritten my XML implementations to take advantage of the .NET 4 Framework. It now implements advanced LINQ techniques which makes it easier to find nodes. It is faster and got rid of a lot of lines of code. It also looks neat because not many people use it. (-:
I am also working [...]
Temporary Standstill
August 22, 2010
by Eaton
Development is now at a standstill while school is fast approaching. I have quite a few things to accomplish before I am adequately prepared so I won’t be working on FATXplorer as much this coming week. So don’t expect many updates.
Update on JTAG
August 19, 2010
by Eaton
It’s dead.
Two Cygnos 360 installations failed.
LPT installation failed.
There are no other options.
But this won’t stop me. I will buy another, but that will be money that could easily be spent on site costs.
JTAG Dilemma
August 18, 2010
by Eaton
I’ve had a JTAG’d Xbox since December 2009. It came with an Infectus v2 chip for easy nand flashing. A while ago, A bad flash was written and the Infectus tools didn’t detect the chip anymore. I had to send it out to a guy I knew to perform a known fix. It was successful, and he placed a reset [...]

I am slowly running out of things to work on, which is a good thing! This is the way I plan to get to the RC release:

-Finish new bookmark system for both trees.
-Finish new updater.
-Finish core FATX classes.
-Create right click items on FATX [...]

Kudos to Ryan S. for testing the new system.
If you have already purchased FATXplorer, this information is not relevant for you.
Ok, so once you buy FATXplorer, you will get an e-mail with your license and instructions telling you what to do. It will link to you a license generation web script that [...]
