FATXplorer Alpha is fixed

If you downloaded it before and it failed to launch, download it again. There was a small bug.

Hello,

I just re-download the latest version, but the program still will not run under vista 32bit or 64bit seven. . NET is installed in the version requested

Do you have the Windows Updates as well?

Ok, just to make sure you do not have the old version, right click FATXplorer.exe, go to Details, and tell me the file version.

Ok, some more steps:
1. Delete the ribbon layout and settings xml.
2. Ensure you have an active internet connection and that your anti-virus is not blocking it from accessing the internet.
3. Open Task Manager and track its progress. Let me know if it just suddenly closes.

ok, so when I run the program, I see it appear in the task manager (FATXplorer.exe) but it cut soon.
I have deleted the files, and I tried forcing the firewall and without antivirus, but same problem.

Ok, have you tried downloading and then running it directly from the archive? Try doing that instead of extracting it.

ok testing as you indicated to me from the archive with 7zip, I get an error after a few seconds saying that the program has stopped working. With Winrar he cuts immediately without error.

So if you use WinRar, it has the same problem? (No error, but just closes)

It is most likely a problem with the beta license and the different time zone you are in.

I will amend this problem in the next public preview. If it does not work then, let me know!

Hi bentima, I have another solution for you.
Please go into Add/Remove Programs and look for .NET 4.

If my thoughts are correct, you should have the Client Profile only. You will also need the Extended profile.

If you do not have Extended, please do a full installation of .NET 4 and report back.
